My favourite place in the world is BeiJing.

I went to Beijing when I was p5 with 29 other schoolmates.

It was an educational trip, consisting of 10 days.

We went to The Great Wall of China on the third day of the trip.

It was during the season of autumn, so it was quite cold. We had to wear thick clothings so we would not catch a cold. The great wall of china was very high, and the steps are all very steep. We might not be able to climb up the steps without the help of the railings on the side of the walls. During the trip, we only managed to climb part of the Great Wall. Because it was already very late, the teachers wants us to go back to where we first started climbing and go home.

All of us could not bear to leave that wonderful place. Everyday in the morning, we ate those watery porridge, unlike in singapore. Our porridge are more sticky, but their porrige are like alot of water plus those uncooked rice. We ate these food because we were living in a school to educate us. All the students in the school ate these. But on the last day of the trip, we ate the most popular food in Beijing. The Beijing Roast Duck, Beijing Kao Ya.

We went to the apple plantation in beijing, where we can pick as many apples as possible.The school sponsored the amount I think.The apples there are so juicy and sweet.That trip was a tired one, as we need to walk to the plantation which is like 2km away.

In the school, we had our own buddies. It's somehow like a buddy system there, so the beijing students can guide us along. We communicated quite well, but sometimes I don't really understand what they are talking about. As their chinese accents are not the same as ours.

We also had a trip to Gu Gong. It's where the Emperors live during the Dynasties. This trip took a whole day, we went there at about 8 am in the morning and leave the place at 7pm. We went to different parts of the palace. The emperor's bedroom was very big. The tourguide told us that the emperor had alot of wives, and each day he would have a different mistress to sleep with him.

Anyways, it was a wonderful trip to BeiJing.
